So, how scary is drilling the angled button hole while wondering how much the airway bit might have wandered while doing its thing?

Do you hear the Jaws theme playing in your head the entire time?

I’m not as concerned about the bore wandering since it’s drilled on the lathe. I’m much more concerned about how accurate my center lines are after a bunch of hand shaping and belt grinding. I.E. do I still know where the center is accurately enough to land a blind tangent in the center of it… And yes it is nerve wracking, because most of the shaping is done by the time I drill the p-lip. I drill it by hand with a 100 year old Stanley egg beater drill so I can have 100% tactile feedback and no erroneous drill bit advancement.
