We can't say enough how much myself, Toby, the New Orleans Pipe Show/Club appreciated Mark Ryan opening his business up to us. This man is a Tobacco Hero for what he's done for Perique, the history, how he's done everything possible to keep this rich Louisiana history alive. If you have a chance, please tell him Thanks. Oh and try his new cigars that have perique in them, holy crap, amazingly smooth and complex.

Did you know we live-streamed the whole show? Video and audio and interviews? Beau York of Podestary produces another pipe podcast called Country Squire Radio and setup a camera to do the event.

From what I gather, the Perique Factory tour was a highlight of the weekend. Perique seems to be a staple additive in many of today's popular blends and that someone has seen fit to perpetuate its availability is comforting to those of us who appreciate its qualities.

I agree that Mark Ryan deserves accolades. I wonder now, about some of his Daughter's and Ryan offerings? I haven't tried any of them.

Nice to see Zak with some of his work getting some screen! Russ was there! Ryan Alden and Wayne Teipen!

Seems like a very nice show was had.

Newbroom, I couldn't get out of work on Friday to make the tour, but like you I was curious about the Daughters and Ryan blends. They were tucked away in the back corner of the pipe show but I found them and sampled a few blends and picked up a few blends and some of their perique cigars. It was hard to get a feel for the tobacco samples at the show since I was using one pipe and there were more ghosts than Pac Man in my Rinaldo. But I really did like the TAPS blend that I tried at the show so ponied up for a few different blends from them. I was curious to but never ordered online since I always thought D&R was just a glorified rebranded cigarette tobacco. The blends I saw and sampled at the show were legit pipe tobaccos.
It was the first pipe show that I attended and I had a great time. I hope that the vendors pulled in some bank and they hold another one next year.
And a big thanks for the pics. Now I have something I can show my wife to calm her down. She thought the reason I was there so long was that they had booth babes giving out the samples and presenting the pipes.

Was really top notch when they got the fuzziness out. This Show paved the way they all should be, Classy, Friendly, the Cam was a stroke of Brillance for those who could not attend, for whatever reasons. Thank you and all the rest for a Great Event.
