Ahhh...I've discovered I love having a bowl with my morning coffee. And the burley and bright blend has moved to the top spot on my list.

I also enjoy a bowl with coffee, but with virginias mostly.
I've never been a pipe with breakfast guy. It sounds great, but I need some food in my stomach and some of coffee to sip before I light up.
You'll find this is lots of peoples favorite time to smoke. Not me I prefer to be awake before I smoke. But I do find that snus and coffee work great together or a big pinch of certain snuffs.
It seems to me that coffee and a smoke go together like peas and carrots, but to each his own. And I am not the guy who gets up and immediately has coffee. Therefor, I am not smoking immediately after I wake up either, which does sound like a bit much for an overall light smoker.
Plus one for the morning coffee and some nutty burley. Carter Hall was the “sweetener & cream” to my black coffee. These days I rarely revisit CH. Granger is all I reach for and at times a cup of tea with milk and honey makes the perfect accompaniment to a bowl of Granger. The Flavors pop. Breakfast of Champions.

I have to have my coffee and a bowl of pipe tobacco before I do anything to start the day. I almost always have a bowl of Virginia Flake to get me going. I enjoy the mild Virginia Flake almost every single day. The only other smoke I might have is a darker Virginia Flake, but no Vapers or Vabers. It is always a flake that is for sure. For an example I might have Astleys no 44 Dark Flake or Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake. Those 2 are nice to have in the morning.

My smoking routine is to smoke after every meal-and then some. So immediately post-breakfast I sit back with multiple mugs of very dark roasted coffee, a VaPer or VaOrPer, and classical chamber music to ease me into wakefulness.
There are times when I enjoy some burley in a cob with my morning coffee, but usually it's a couple of cigarettes. Then it's dip during the day. I save the pipe for the evening while watching TV.
I'm in the desert, so the best time for me is just at daybreak. I'm an early riser, so a 5 AM smoke along with the coffee I brewed while getting dressed makes a good start to the day.
It's almost 9:15 PM now, the temp is still 90°, the MPH wind is down to a light breeze, and I just finished my second bowl of the day. Time to go back inside and pick out tomorrow's morning blend ??.

I agree, morning smokes are often the best. I rarely eat breakfast, so a couple of espressos and a bowl of Capstan or St Bruno get me going mostly.
Favorite time for me. After breakfast, hot coffee and some good burley blend.
I think my early morning burley in a cob with coffee is my favorite bowl of the day. Typically it's Five Brothers, but sometimes Haunted Bookshop, Granger, or Carter Hall. Bonus points if it's still early enough to be dark out on my back deck.
Mold Virginia Flake and coffee first thing after breakfast. Best bowl of the day.
I find lots of ODF blends go very well with coffee. Dark Strong or ODF being pretty great morning kicks. I do like breakfast first though.
Nothing like a nice moldy virgina first thing in the morning.
