I’m new to the forum, but have been an avid smoker/collector for over 25 years. I have helped manage a pipe/cigar store for over 20 years. I’ve been reluctant to join blogs and forums because so many of my customers complain about all of the diametrically opposed opinions they find on the internet. 5 people say 965 is the absolute best English and five others say it’s God awful. I thought I’d join this forum to check out what new pipes and tobaccos people are enjoying, and get a feel for what new pipe smokers are interested in.

I'd say that 965 is neither the best English out there, nor awful. I buy a few ounces from time to time, as well as bulk.

Agreed with jpm here -- I'd say it's about middle of the pack. Not the best English I've ever smoked, but far from the worst.
