You may have noticed some new advertising on the site. Please allow me a word on that.
Just in case anyone wasn't aware, this site is a professional, commercial endeavor.
Most of the pipe websites out there are part time hobbies. This one is not.
We are working hard to make http://pipesmagazine.com/ the number 1 pipe site on the market, providing articles, advice, news and commentary to support and grow the pipe market.
The amount invested in this site is over 5 figures since the beginning of the year, and I am happy to report our first revenue received.
Please join me in thanking and welcoming our two newest advertisers by clicking on their banners and possibly buying something

Congratulations, Kevin! Great news.
In no time at all 4noggins has established itself as one of the premier online vendors for our hobby. I frequently visit their site, which is beautifully put together, an excellent example of how to run a virtual storefront. I haven't tried their own bulk blends, but they're receiving excellent reviews.
I've ordered from several online stores, and the results have generally been poor to middling (except for Cup O' Joes, which is top notch). 4noggins will get my next international order.
I just checked out Missouri Meerschaum, and I must admit I'm impressed by the selection of cob pipes they have -- I didn't know there were such stylish ones available (esp Ozard Mountain), at truly amazing prices. I've got one cob pipe that gives a good smoke, now I'm inspired to get a few more.

Thanks ST. It's nice to have a response like that.
I find it oddly intriguing that many people online in general and many specifically in the pipe smoking world have some strange negativity towards commercialism and/or advertising.
It's like they don't realize that the pipes and tobaccos they buy come from commercial enterprises that make money on them. If they could not make a profit, then we wouldn't have all these wonderful selections to choose from in pipes and tobaccos.
The same goes for a website that has several people working on it for many hours each week to bring forth entertainment and information - and these same people have obligations. The food doesn't get on the table and the gas doesn't get in the car from donations.
But enough of my soapbox. The site is exactly where I set the goals for it to be at this point in time.
Re: 4noggins
They were recommended to me as a good place to purchase online by a few different people at the Richmond Pipe Show. Rich over there is super nice and quite knowledgeable. Thanks for supporting those that support us.
Re: Corn Cob Pipes
This is the original company that invented them and has been making them in the same factory since 1869. I have 4 myself, but all the ones I have are also the plain models. There are definitely some cool stylish corn cob pipes too. The Ozark Mountain wood pipes are nice. The Legend and the Freehand are pretty cool too.
