A local radio station did a top 100 today. It's not every day you hear Sedan Delivery and Don't Let it Bring You Down on the way home from work. I've been to two shows. One solo acoustic and one with Crazy Horse. Very different from each other, but both great.

I'm more into his lyrics and that hammer strum he has so I prefer him unplugged.

Can't forget Thrasher. I've only seen him once, in 2008. Somebody posted the whole thing on YouTube which is awesome.
I love his acoustic stuff.

Happy 70th Birthday Neil Young!!
I've never seen him in concert but Neil is one of my all time favourites. He has so many great songs that got lots of radio play and some great obscure stuff that many have never heard I like it all!!
To name a few:
Cinnamon Girl

Powderfinger

Old Man

Like A Hurricane

Harvest Moon

The Needle and the Damage Done

Helpless

Out on the Weekend

Welfare Mothers

and on, and on, and on.....

Saw him at the Fabulous Forum, the then home of the Lakers, must have been 30 plus years ago, and that was one loud powerhouse of a concert. No subtle weeping moments, pure unadulterated loud power. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. Was nothing like I expected.

Did anyone buy into his new digital music platform/player - the Pono system? I haven't read anything favorable about it.

I think for the Pono system to ever get off the ground & be viable in the marketplace it would have to have a major corporation behind it. I don't see how one man can change the industry by himself & that's what it would really take.
I do enjoy following his exploits with his electric powered Lincoln Continental, the LincVolt. Probably totally impractical at this point but his group is probably developing technology to be used in other applications, & he is having fun with it.

And as far as I know he still has his train collection & is the majority stockholder in Lionel Trains.
