I'm following the laws of the land here as it were and waiting to post any for sale threads until my post count is higher and I've been here awhile, but I need you lads' and lassies help in naming one of my more recent blends I came up with.

It eventually will be for sale/trade here on the forums and facebook exclusively but need some help actually naming it. I hate numbering my blends, and hate plain old numbered blends (yet there's some blends I love that are simply #3 and #6 from my local B&M).

I've attached a photo of the blend I've made with a description as follows

"A low to medium moisture, mixture of flake and ribbon cut tobacco with light aromatic hints of cherry, almond and vanilla. Based on a sweet black cavendish with white stem burley"

Batch statistics
1 part Virginia Black Cavendish
1 Part Steamed Yellow Twist Bud (White stem burley)
Toasted after drying to reheat dried leaf prior to casing application

Casing Statistics
1Part simple syrup (using raw cane sugar)
1Part RO or distilled water
1/4 part Madagascar Vanilla extract (41% ethyl alcohol)
1/8 part almond extract (37% ethyl alcohol)

Tin Notes:
Deep earth flavors with rich vanilla, almond and cherry scents

Smoke profile
Thin but lush smoke, somewhat warm burning

Smoke taste
Traditional natural tobacco taste, with a hint of sweetness

Room note (according to my wife)
Hints of vanilla and tobacco

As a thank you to whom ever has read this far, if I choose your name for the blend, I'll send you a bowl sample of it to enjoy yourself with.

I'm really open to any names, whether they have to do with a description of the product, an outlandish name (Frog's Fur is already taken sorry). Be creative, don't be lewd and have fun - because I sure as hell ain't having fun coming up with a name for this wonderful stuff.

Cheers!

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title

Traveller's Palm

It is the national symbol of Madagascar and a plant endemic to the island (some 90% of Madagascar's wildlife is found nowhere else on earth, as it was one of the first chunks of land to break off the indian subcontient during the breakup of the super continent of Gondwanaland). It is so named because the sheaths hold rain water, that can supposedly be consumed by a traveler in an emergency. It is also quite spectacular, and would make a great logo on top of a tin!

While the story of young George chopping down the cherry tree is actually a myth (ironically written & propagated by a minister). It has been used to teach the virtue of honesty. A whimsical name for an honest blend ?

If you are digging Michigan themed ones, then I nominate either "Soady Creek Blend", "Holy Wah", or "Euchre Table"

All of course in honor of Jeff Daniel's 2001 Cinematic Masterpiece "Escanaba in da Moonlight"

I've never played Euchre (I'm one of the odd ones here) But I really like that name.
It's a fun game once you get the hang of it. An easy way to gobble up downtime at Moose camp that's for sure. Especially when combined with a few beers, a dram, and pipe full.
