Naming your Pipes?

If AKC people can give their Dogs ridiculous names like: Crosswood Alexsea Sky’s the Limit, then naming a pipe is not so odd. I just call my pipes by their shape name, except my cavalier, which I call "sirdar" because that was the catalogue name of the BBB cavalier I lost ?

My pipes all came with names already stamped on them.

There is Blackie, EMPy, Erren, Stoney, Penny, Bruno, Presby, Ben, Trey, etc

Me standing in the backyard calling through all of my kid's names to get one that actually sticks to the kid that I'm calling. I haver over 100 pipes, so I know I am not about to remember a name for each of them. Besides, I relied on a reaction from the child to know whether I hit the right name or not, and pipes are stupid dumb at remembering their names as well.

It's really not that tough. Do what I did and copy the Balinese system where names reflect birth order. Assuming you're sober enough to remember how many kids you've had naming becomes pretty easy.
