The stem on #3 down, right side, looks extremely Barling-y.
Because their "slab" shape was never supplied as a molded replacement to repair shops, and few (if any) other companies used that profile, I'd say the odds are excellent that pipe is a legit Barling.

Yeah... how many of you find yourselves looking for clues or tell tale signs of the makers marks? I know I constantly try to cross reference and figure something out. So far, about 50% accurate.
The one right of the pickaxe is leather clad. I'm hoping those are shell briars on the left (well the non-barling stem ones).
Damn, that's got to be at least 4 pipes. LOL. I would love to see all the members' SOTC pictures. I bet there are some BIG families out there!
That's a lot of a lot. If you enjoy restoration, most of these seem to be in good shape and will reward your labor, I'd guess. Let us know specifics once you can read the stamps and examine what shape they're in. Just a few good pipes would make it a bargain, so it looks like you did well. Keep us posted.

Yeah pitchfork, it's definitely more kriswill-esque... The stem seems a little too rounded at the "bump" though...done think it's a celius anymore. Hmmm
Would you guys believe me if I told you: 5 dunhill pipes (2 patent era), 7 Barling's, Hansen, Navigator (pickaxe), 3 dot Brigham (Pat pipe) stanwell, p. Viou. I'll try to post photos. WTF! $200!
The blasted billiard immediately under the furry pipes caught my eye as a good one. What did it turn out to be?
1966 shell briar group 4. Then a trans barling, then 1947 shell briar, trans barling, then 1946 shell briar.
That poker was a Dunhill (spot on with the shape) and the one left of the pickaxe is a Dunhill. I already boxed up the non patent ones and am sending them to smoking pipes. The patent ones (along with a Sasieni) I'm sending to Tim West for restoration.
