Mystery Dunhill Patent Pipe (Light Stamping) WWII Era?

Trying to figure this one out... The stamping is extremely light on this old soul. "DUNHILL" over "LONDON" can be seen on the left side of the shank. "34/1" can be seen clearly on the right side of the shank. Under significant magnification the patent number "417574/34" can be seen, making this a 1950 creation?

Looking at the dating key on Pipephil suggests that the pipe is 1950, based on what you describe.

That patent number and no group/finish codes seems 1942-1950 is the time period, according to pipedia.
