I actually find that surprising. Webers and Jobeys are often found in collections of Grabows, Kaywoodies, and the like. All very excellent pipes and representatives of the era. These are the ones I came into contact as a small boy.

I grew up when the pipe you purcharesed came free with a purchase of tobacco.I actually find that surprising. Webers and Jobeys are often found in collections of Grabows, Kaywoodies, and the like. All very excellent pipes and representatives of the era.
That’s a wonderful representation. I have WDC Giant Churchwarden that belonged to my dad, but it didn’t quite fit in with the rest of the pipes. This thread inspired me to put together a seven day set myself. The pipes are modest and no real stand outs, but representative of a bygone era of great American pipes. I picked a WDC Wellington, Bertrams, Dr. Gabow, Medico Seafoam, Nob Hill, Royalton Smoke Control Supreme and a Weber Windpruf. View attachment 94547
I have the Chesterfield. Wonderful majestic pipe, your father had good taste. You have to be prepared to sit for awhile when you load it up. I aquired a WDC Jumbo which has the same bowl with a shorter stem. That’s a wonderful representation.
