So this is on e of the pipes given to me by a friend as partial payment for helping him out. Even though I no longer smoke tobacco, it doesn't hurt to have a nice pipe collection I think.

That is a cool pipe. I haven't seen one like it. I agree that you can collect pipes without smoking them. The history and the craftsmanship doesn't rely on smoking to enjoy.

I like the simplicity of the shape and carving, but especially the way the pipe has colored. Meer can color unevenly, or some parts can look more stained or dirty. It's a real bonus when the color comes up in a pleasing way, as this has done. If I were not smoking a pipe, I'm afraid this one would tempt me.
