Well, my order from SP arrived today. Everything arrived well packaged and safely. At first inspection, Im very happy with both pipes. The Savinelli Onda Sandblast did come with a slight over sandblast that looks like a tiny pit on the smooth rim. Otherwise, they both look perfect to me. Draftholes are right on center. Workmanship is about even.

The major difference between the two, is that the Rattray Emblem is a 9mm and the Savinelli is a 6mm. The Rattray came with one 9mm White Elephant Meerschaum filter.
I would have preferred one of Rattrays own 9mm charcoal filters, but I do have Vauen 9mm Charcoal filters that fit well. Of course, the Meerschaum 9mm filters are a bit more open, so the draw is a little better, but I don't think it's going to absorb the same amount of impurities and moisture as the charcoal. The Vauen charcoal seems more than acceptable. Mind you, I don't like a very open draw.

The Savinelli came with a 6mm Balsa filter. I do have 6mm Savinelli Charcoal filters that fit perfectly. The draw with the Balsa is very open. With the 6mm charcoal filter it is a little more restricted, but still good. I tried the Savinelli with Vauens 6mm charcoal filter and it's a bit more restricted. It is almost like Savinelli built this pipe to only use their charcoal filters for optimum performance. No to mention that the Savinelli filter is quite a bit longer than the Vauen and easier to take out.

OK, here are some pics!
