Nice cover art. One of the better art drawings of a tobacco pipe.
Check discount book shops. I've gotten a fair number of unused Easton Press leather bound classics for under $20.
I heard rumors if it’s existence for years but never encountered one for sale in the wild until … I did.
It’s a silly and expensive indulgence but what’s the point of not indulging our whims once in awhile?
I haunt used bookstores like a poltergeist and find some amazing treasures - which, honestly is as much fun as reading them sometimes - but this one has never appeared before. The Rocky Mountain West can be a tough place to find some things whereas other places seem to have more treasures - probably due to population and length of people living there. Especially antiques and such; makes sense if you think about possessions traveling by Conestoga wagons but … books from a few years ago? C’mon man, we read here too!
Still, I’m pleased with finding this one!
The illustrations are the same way, quite charming really.

Marl Irwin is a pretty good writer, but $100 is pretty steep.
Interesting, but the reviews are not great. Disappointing. However a movie, would be a great idea!
There are few books I have been after since before 1986. That was not one of 'em. And I can blow smoke ring already.
You do realize you can order it from smoking pipes.com for $16 , new. They just shipped my copy today.
