This is my plug cutter. Got it at a gun and knife show. Couple of older guys in Lower Alabama forge knives for fun and profit. Note the Wasp nest inside the handle. The gun is so you can estimate size (vice a coin). Plus its cool! Having said that I'm still a noob and have yet to purchase my first plug. Just can't decide on a plug.

Very nice knife! I normally recommend Peterson 3P's as a first plug. Although it contains burley, the style of flavoring is reminiscent of the hard to get Irish plugs: my old favorites were Mick Macquarie and Garryowen.

Beautiful knife! I really like the Damascus steel. I am new to smoking plug tobacco also. Just picked up some vintage GLP Gas Light and Jackknife plug. I’m
going to smoke some later this week.
