In a word , greatHow's it smoke?
sound something I expected,If you got time &nerves You may want to try enlarging buttonholeAfter Action Report: Smoked pretty good, lasted longer than I expected on a 3/4 pack, longer than 40 minutes. Got a little gurgly about halfway through. Passing a pipe cleaner was challenging, the mouthpiece hole is pretty small and the bore through the shank is tight.. was doable but tricky. Lightweight clenching.. looks cool as all get out.. well worth the 45 bucks I spent on it
Nice, a classic I have a couple of pipes that size and shape and they are great for strong ropes and flakes imo.
The airflow is fine, it’s just tight for a pipecleanerOn the other hand, I have had several Ropp &Jeantets which were originally drilled to accommodate 4mm stringers and the mortise was drilled rather wide open which resulted in pretty airy, unrestricted airflow
Jeantet , "thin walls"?Definitely, the majority of French make pipes are good value for money, and particularly so with Jeantet and Ropps, though due to pretty thin walls they may get a bit hot for the first few smokes but that usually settles down eventually
