Thanks JYD
Yeah I love how these smoke....so much that I've been selling off most of my briars..I have 6 dunhills and prefer my mortas to those

However, I do have a few custom pipes that I will never part with...my Rad Davis and Trevor Talbert pipes will always stay in my rotation....it's mainly my factory pipes that are collecting dust, so it's time I let someone else enjoy them

Okay, I just got back from the site and your collection of 10 pipes and an average price around $470 each, you are showing about $5K in pipes! This is way over my current budget, but my hats off to someone like you who can afford these beautiful pipes.

What is different regarding the morta smoke versus briar?

I have been curious about the different smoking qualities of morta for a while.

Morta is neutral, so it never takes on the "flavor" of the tobacco...u never have to rest a Morta pipe and u can smoke any tobacco in the pipe without ever worrying about a ghost effect of the previous tobacco

Gorgeous collection. A morta is definitely on my must have list, and Davorin's seem to be some of the best around. Perhaps when I get out of the Army in a few months I will buy myself one as a transition marker. Thanks for sharing these.

NOLA, how does that work with the no ghosting? I always assumed that in a broken in pipe, ghosting was a result of the flavors being in the cake since the briar is covered. I know in meer you don't get ghosting but there you have no cake. So does one keep Morta pipes cake free or is the cake not part of ghosting? I'm very curious about Morta now, thanks in advance for any insight.

You are correct in that you should keep ur Morta pipes cake free...I usually bend a fluffy pipe cleaner in half and swab the inside of my bowl after each smoke...
