My New Big Ben Mavyn

Hello All,
I just received this beautiful gift straight from the Netherlands.
Came in a beautiful box and pouch. I searched online and checked the Big Ben website to get more info on the pipe.
I couldn't find the stem color option that I have. I've been told that the shop clerk where the pipe was bought said that this was a rare edition.
Anyway, I quite like it and I wanted to hear your experiences and opinions, as I still haven't smoked it.
Does the aluminum affect the smoke in any way?
