EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) - Bob

Picked these up off a local Canadian classifieds site not too long ago.

Clockwise from the top left: Bjarne free hand, Harcourt freehand, Stanwell No. 70 Sixten Ivarsson Volcano, Kriswill Saga Canadian.

Got the Stanwell and Kriswill for $28USD and the Danish freehands for $14 USD. Quite a steal of a deal if I do say so myself. The freehands both have cracks in the bowl(I will make another thread about this)and were heavily smoked, but still work great and will be my keepers(I pretty much only smoke the "well loved" estate finds I can't sell) The Stanwell and kriswill are both in excellent shape and are getting thrown up on eBay, to help fuel my PAD and pocketbook.

Everything needed a good cleaning, buff and polished on the oxidized stems, so this is an after pic from that process.

Thank you, chasing'. That's a promising array of briars. I like the two pipes at the bottom of the photo; the freehands look good, but they were a drug on the market for a while so don't have quite the same panache. Good buys all around. You'll be happy with those, I think.

It's the first freehands I have bought, they have very large bowls, which usually isn't my preference, but they smoke very well. The Harcourt is a "D" grade, which apparently is the highest grade they produced( or so I have read online) the two on the bottom are excellent as well, and I do like the old stanwells, but I have so many pipes with similar chamber dimensions already that I won't keep them for myself.

Nice finds! Careful though, this is how it starts and the next thing you know you're need deep in pipes!
Haha yes, hence why I have taken the habit of selling them off. Helps keep me out of the negatives and I do enjoy fixing and restoring old pipes. I have around 35 pipes and about 20 are my keepers, so I think I'm doing well to keep the numbers down when I compare to some other pipers.

Is it a Bjarne or a Bjarne Nielsen?
Just says Bjarne on the stamp. So I guess it's not the high end one. Still smokes like a dream though. But it does have a crack in the bowl, probably from the heavy use of the previous owner, but could it be because it's a lower end model? I wonder..
