When I was living in Anaheim, we had a doxie mix. He was liver colored so my stepson named him Clifford from the kids show, Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Cliff would bring in birds, rats, and 'possums, just to show us he was earning his keep. He once hid a 'possum under the sheets in the bed. I was working nights, and got a call from the wife, in hysterics, telling me the 'great hunter' bagged a trophy and surprised her. Atta boy, Clifford

My cousin was like that. Had a Big Wheel she rode around with a Big Wheel frame in the yard next to it. When she was in kindergarten, her class was watching Bambi. When the part came with Bambi's mother and the hunter, she shouts "There's meat in the freezer!"
