So if it’s the screw in derlin mortise and screw i derlin tenon we should not remove the stem while hot?

Meerschaum doesn't expand with heat so the stems can be removed at any time. With the screw in ones, only turn the stem clockwise when removing and inserting it.

I've never owned an AKB meer, but I've also never heard any complaints about them. Hopefully it treats you well.

Did the person who used to write up creative (and sometimes funny) descriptions of their estate meerschaums leave the company? Whoever handles them now just puts this write-up and a tiny description on every one.
