Picked up a Medico VFQ today. Appears to be quite old and used. In the process of cleaning it up. It even still had an old, extremely dirty filter in it. To be honest, I can’t find too much info on these pipes. The pipe says imported briar with the number 11 on the opposite side. I assume that’s the model or shape number. Otherwise, that’s all. Wish I could get a general year/era. Anyways check it out!

Got it cleaned up. I love it. The feel and the look is perfect. Smokes great, too. The finish is worn, but I love that.

Old American factory pipes have their own aura. I have a Kaywoodie Ruff-Tone Drinkless with the screw-in stem/stinger that was a sort of matte gray when I bought it for not much. After some years it has bloomed into a polished finish with a distinctly reddish tint. I won't say it's a beauty, but it is steps up from before. The stinger is a quick clean-up, and it smokes well.
