My First Castello

This will be my first Castello, can't wait til arrival!

I love the look of the sea rock finish with a smooth finished rim.

Maybe I got carried away and missed a detail... it looks like the draft hole may be off center.

100% agree with you Tom. I love the shape of the Canadian shape as well and the finish is also striking.

Agreed. But if it is off more than you care for, they are very good about returns. A nice pipe, in fact it inspired me to fire up my Liverpool 4K Sea Rock.

Castello’s, more than any other pipe brand, seem to attract rack mates at an alarming pace.

It is VERY unlikely your pipe has a problem with the drilling. No company is more renowned for consistent draught mechanics than is Castello. You absolutely will be happy with your new pipe. Absolutely.

This pipe really caught my eye. The proportions and style of rustication, right up my alley.
I will dedicate it to Full Virginia Flake.

I mailed them about my concerns and they responded fastly with additional photos.
The pipe is perfectly drilled, just like you guys said.

Nice. I just acquired an estate Castello Sea Rock Briar and it is a great smoker.
Mine is only a 3K but it does have the Carlo Scotti in an oval. It also has a π stamped in the briar. I haven't figured that one out yet.

Pappymac, your pipe is a Pi finish, that means it’s a non standard finish, usually some kind of extra carving or special details. Highly desirable!
