Modified IMP Meerschaum - Ryan Alden

Sent my IMP to Ryan Alden to have an ebonite stem cut. The IMP stem was very bad; overly thick and poorly executed.

Ryan didn't like some of the aesthetics and wanted to clean up the profile. He reduced and flattened the heel, thinned and tapered the shank and opened airway to 5/32". Also removed some sanding scratches.

Pipe is in transit. I'll post some better photos when I get it. Wanted to give a shout out to Ryan Alden. I was only looking for a new stem and ended up with a much better pipe.

I'm glad you're happy—I think I actually prefer the profile of the original rounded heel—it was a subtle curve that made it different than many pipes.
