Title edited for capitals. Rule 9.

Hello fellow pipers. I've recently been doing some reading about how many pipers consume their tobacco. Some mix it up and smoke a different blend every time. Others will open a tin and smoke the whole thing through so they can become completely familiar with that blend. Just curious, what do you folks do? Do you mix it up or knock back the whole tin?

It's actually quite rare that i would smoke the same blend twice in a row...or even in a day at this point. About a brazillion different open tins/jars at all times. Whether it's whisky, wine, cigars or pipe baccy, I like choices. Sometimes just the process of feeling out the mood and making the choice is half the fun. ;)

Mix it up, for sure. I don't like the same thing twice in a row - I pick based on how I'm feeling and what appeals as I'm choosing. Also, I agree with dottlejockey - picking from the "menu" is part of the fun (just like my pipes!)

Constantly switching and mixing and matching and even regularly combining open blends to create even more variety and some of these, for me, exceed the sum of the parts.

For the past 6 months or so, I have just been picking a jar or tin and smoking it til gone. I’m finding the short stays of a single blend appealing compared to thinking about what I want every time.
