Not trying to step on Brad's flower posting territory, but the magnolias are blooming and they sure are pretty and sweet smelling. The magnolia is Mississippi's state flower and state tree. This one came off a tree in my yard.
I have a pink magnolia growing in the hedge that borders my garden with the churchyard next door. Glorious when in bloom but looks damned nasty when the flowers start to die bak.
Great picture by the way Eric
Regards,
Jay.
Beautiful bloom.
Many years ago at a former employer, they had several magnolia trees. Would tell employees not to pick them. My wife loves the smell, I'd always steal her one.
Jay, beautiful flower and church. I was in Portsmouth in 2015 and saw similar old churches. I love the history of the U.K. One day I'll get back to England and do more exploring. Here's a church that was established in the 1200s, I believe, in Portsmouth and lost it's roof in WWII.
