Our last day on vacation was a dozy in Nashville.
We spend a large part of the day at the Country Music Hall of Fame. My wife noticed one of the attendants at Guest Services name badge said "Hagerstown", which is our small little town in Western Maryland. Sure enough, "Rose Lee" was from Hagerstown. I asked what brought her to Nashville and she said she was a session musician for 50 years. Bingo, I remembered a local newspaper story about Rose, when she turned 90 (she is now 92!). We chatted with her for a while and she tolds to watch in some of the videos, she was playing fiddle and her husband the double neck guitar. Sure, enough, in this Wanda Jackson (Queen of Rockabilly!) she and her husband are in the band.

We were too bushed to stay in the downtown area, but happened on a little honky tonk near our hotel (the Nashville Palace). They had a great Western Swing band playing. Jack Pearson, the guitar player for the Allman Brothers even stopped by and played a few song.
What a day and trip. Tomorrow, the 10 hour drive back to the real world.
