Meerschaum Strem/Shank Conversion

Does anyone offer a way to convert a meerschaum with the typical screw-in tube-insert thingy that connects the stem to the shank, to a briar style mortise and tenon for the stem and shank? I assume that a new stem would be required for this conversion. Is this even possible?

I have a meerschaum that was converted. Don't know who did it, but I can tell it was done. Worth reaching out to the pipe repair guys, Norwoods isn't afraid to work with Meerschaum.
