Meerschaum ID Help

Hey there,

Came across a smaller estate Meerschaum and wanted to find out if any pipe sleuths could help me understand the age and possible manufacture of it? The tenon is not something I have seen before and am kinda stumped. The case fits the pipe perfectly, but has no marking inside of it. The bowl is pretty small on this one 1.25"x1.25" OD.

This is a very interesting pipe...I have never seen anything like it either...I hope someone has some knowledge about it.

It's an interesting pipe for sure, not super practical for me, but neat.

I'd say made in Austria, between WWII and the 1960s (when meerschaum export was banned). It's not a Bauer or Mastercraft, but it's along those lines. Block, plastic stem (the named brands were still making amberoid then), would be worth getting the band tested in case it's gold. Nice simple carved apple. I hope it smokes well!
