Hey guys i have 2 tins unopened of McC Christmas Cheer, one is from 1999 and the other is 2001. My question is should go ahead and jar (mason) these tobacs or just leave as is. I have been wanting to open both cans. I have a new case of jars ready. What do u guys think here?
Thanks.

Mike.

mly - now that those CCs have a lot of age on them, I would not pop them till you are ready to puff some. Once you open the seal, the anaerobic fermentation stops and the whole ageing process resets, even if you jar them. Those McC tins are excellent for ageing, BTW, so don't worry about air leaks and drying out.

Thanks guys, as much as i would like to open and try both iam just going to leave them as is. I have smoked 12-14 yr old St.James Woods and Dark Star, both were excellent.
Take Care.

Im going to have the same dilemma soon, never had CC. I have one 99, one 02, one 12, and three 13. Might try a 13 first to get a base understanding of what the flakes are about, and compare to aged after....
