Almost done with the shaping on this freehand pipe. It will be my 29th pipe in 3 years.
The pipe is based on a design by Alexander Chekanov, nowhere near a copy, just interpretation.
The main reason I started making pipes was to have the shapes I could never afford.
I need to rework the pre-molded stem a lot and give it a bend.
Thanks for looking and all comments welcome.

Generally I don't like white stems. Visually they fade for me, and I think they may not wear well. But on this pipe, with its unique shaping, the white stem just "pops," stands out in an impressive way. That's a superb looking pipe.

Yes sir, I'm making this one for me. I have sold a few, but those have been just so I can buy more briar. I have even traded finished pipes for briar blocks. My next pipe, is a commission for a gentleman in Texas, whom has been a big supporter in my hobby.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.
I accepted 1 commission, just because He carried my pipes to the Texas pipe show to show off.
I will be making a long shank, prince next (#30)
I'll be sure to post a pic of it's maiden voyage when completely finished.
Cosmic, I'll post some more pics of my creations in another thread.
