Well ok not exactly, I’m fresh outta albatross wing bones. But a Dunhill inner tube will make a nice stand in. Using a block meer repair insert. Using yellow amber catalin for the bit, vulcanite for the mortise, and NOS nickel shank cap to dress up the bit.

Chamber was drilled with a bullnose endmill chucked up in the lathe and holding the egg by hand. All drilling was done with bit in the lathe and egg held in hand with very low rpm’s. Draft holes are drill perpendicular. One hole is drill concentric with the chamber straight down. The mortis is drilled perpendicular to the draft hole intersecting it below the chamber.
