My sister's flying home to Chicago from Arizona today, so I'm hoping the snow and unpaid airport employees don't dog her trip. She sent photos from Arizona that were snow scenes too. Here in central N.C., it's pretty pleasant, forties/fifties, but headed down tomorrow night into the teens. We had a big blast of snow, for us, before Christmas, and I'd be surprised if we don't have one or two more snow or wintry mix episodes this year. We usually get some spring days, on and off, in February. Growing up in the Chicago area, February was a month of winter resignation, when you stopped waiting for spring and snow and ice were always on the ground, kind of a hibernation time. A brisk walk was like a workout; scarves, gloves and hats were standard.
