I recently got these 5 KBB Tobacco-Yello cigarette holders. I've only cleaned and used the shortest one so far and it smokes great. So they will be a great and welcome addition to my Kaywoodie/Yello-Bole collection. Just looking for more information on this Tobacco-Yello line of holders in terms of date, any advertising, etc. I have found another post that says "the KB&B tobacco-yello cigarette holder was launched in 1929, and that it remained in production for about 25 years". Some of the ones I have coming in the mail have that pointed stinger, my current set only have have the ball stinger. Just wondering if the stamps/stinger can nail it down to a specific time-period.
Only the rusticated one has a visible stamp on the briar still which is "KBB TOBACCO-YELLO PAT NO. 1780389".
All of the stingers have "TOBACCO-YELLO PAT NO. 1780389" on them.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the poor macro-photos.
