Oh yeah, that campus architecture is atrocious. Reminded me of a communist country.Hey from central N.C., and welcome aboard. I grew up in a Chicago adjacent suburb and commuted to my underclass years in college to what is now University of Illinois Chicago, which was on Navy Pier as a satellite to Champagne-Urbana my first year there. Then it moved, and I moved, to the then-new campus, and its Brutalist School of architecture. I had a one-act play contest winner produced there the spring before I left. Good memories.
After U. Mo. journalism school and Navy, I've been in N.C. since 1972, for grad school and work.
Cavendish is good. My dad didn't smoke Cavendish, but he did smoke Granger in the foil pouch for fifty years.
"My kind of town, Chicago is."
