Hate to see anyone go at any age, and sympathize with any who will miss her, but I have to admit the news doesn't really strike any particular nerve - always knew she existed but I just Googled her and had no idea she was married to Nicholas Cage for about five minutes and had totally forgotten she was ever married to Michael Jackson.

But she lived longer than her old man did.
Elvis was only 42.

I can remember being ten and the birth of Lisa Marie Presley all over the news and papers.

We are sad for her and her family.

But aren’t we saddest for our own lost youth?

I wonder if the thrill of the "Live fast, die young" ride is worth it?

I suppose it depends on how your brain is wired.
