I found this at Bayou Tobacco in Baton Rouge. It called to me and I couldn't resist. So far, all I know is it's signed "Created by Akdolu" on the bottom and looks to have been smoked only a few times. Clean up has been real easy.

Sorry but still have no idea, can be Huseyin Akdolu.
That's the only name I've seen. From a shop in Adana, Turkey from what I've seen but I don't have a clue what years he carved pipes.

Cuneyt Akdolu of Adana, Turkey, performed some carving demonstrations in Baton Rouge in 1987.....maybe this.....?

pappy', that's an appropriate nautical theme for your pipe. It's a huge one. I think it needs a location to be exhibited, and smoked on special occasions.

Nice set. I'd put them on permanent display, just not in full sun to save the stems.

I have been contacted by Huseyin Akdolu cousin (and another gentleman who built the case for the pipe). Huseyin Akdolu died about 10 years ago. The entire family were meerschaum pipe carvers at one time. Cuneyt Akdolu is Huseyin's brother and now lives in California. I have messaged him and hope to get a response.
