Ahem, excuse me but I expected better from a moderator & Tottenham supporter.?Plugs, rope, good, but don't gots none rat now.
Curious as to how folks dry their tobacco? Before or after cutting? Not at all?

I don’t tend to dry plug like I do with flake; I might leave a few shavings to dry for 10 minutes at best, and then load it upPlugs, rope, good, but don't gots none rat now.

Yes, occasionally I go totally red neck. And thanks for the almost compliment! (Loved that movie, btw)Ahem, excuse me but I expected better from a moderator & Tottenham supporter.?
Byronic Hero is a damn brick. That's dense stuffI received Byronic Hiro from KBV yesterday. It reminds me of Salty Dogs in density, but harder to cut. Took no time to dry out. I feel like I need a cleaver to cut it. Definitely needs a long cut as opposed to short since it does not pack well when dry.
Damn skippy. I put a dent in my bamboo desk from my knife slipping. I need to stop being lazy and just get my chef's knife and a proper cutting board. If I knew it would stay moist, I would cut it all up in one go, but I think that will just ruin it.Byronic Hero is a damn brick. That's dense stuff
I cut a few flakes and took em to a coffee grinder. Left the rest in plug form. It's definitely an animal to be dealt with, packing that stuffDamn skippy. It started out as just trying something different, and then my purchases were influenced by what was available, but now I’ve really grown to love being able to shave tobacco off a plug which is shag thin. I also enjoy the process involved in getting a smoke ready.@Ahi Ka can you say why as to your preference for plugs, say if you had the choice of the same blend in Flake or plug form ?
I've got very little experience with most blends on the market ( and yet to try any plug ) but I wonder sometimes whether I would notice the difference if my favourite flake, University Flake, would smoke any different if it was suddenly made as a plug.
I know people that love it, but to me NYC is a dreadful place. Quite ironic that you got ticketed for spitting in a place that reeks like a full port-o-john on a warm day.I have been ticketed in NYC for spitting Levi Garrett onto the subway tracks once.
