I was something of a Uriah Heep fan back in the day. My favourite album was their Innocent Victim, I'll be playing it later.

So many stars from that era seem to be going before their time.

Percussion can be played by a majority of the population who can approximate keeping time, hence there are huge numbers of not-so-good drummers. To do it well, with subtlety, and often behind the other instruments in terms of sound, not position on the stage, is a true discipline. RIP. We can't spare many accomplished percussion folks.

"Easy Livin...good stuff!"

Al, I believe they call it 'Speed Metal' these days, but this was of course the 1970's so they were well ahead of their time.

This is a thing I've never known before
It's called easy livin'
This is a place I've never seen before
And I've been forgiven

Easy livin' and I've been forgiven
Since you've taken your place in my heart
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you
Day after day on that windy road I had walked behind you

Easy livin' and I've been forgiven
Since you've taken your place in my heart

Waiting, watching
Wishing my whole life away
Dreaming, thinking
Ready for my happy day
And some easy livin'

Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you
Day after day on that windy road I had walked, walked behind you
Easy livin' and I've been forgiven
Since you've taken your place in my heart
Easy livin' and I've been forgiven
Since you've taken your place in my heart

Jay.?

I loved how each song told a story. Heep, Sabbath and nothing to do with Kerslake but Budgie was another favorite. Good times, great music.

Here's an album Lee Kerslake & Ken Hensley played on which I really liked during the day, actually still like it.

I was actually thinking of their track 'Free 'N' Easy ' when I mentioned the 'speed metal' thing......here it is.

That album cover I had painted on my bedsit door by a pal many moons ago ?
