Laudisi (Smoking Pipes) now directly importing G&H

I just glanced at a box of G&H that arrived from Smoking Pipes this week. It has a nice sticker with the requisite health warnings, the familiar Smoking Pipes logo, and the primary processor number, TP-SC-20001, which is the same as C&D since the move to South Carolina. In other words, Laudisi imported it from all visible indications.
Just recently, it was announced that Kretek was going to be distributing G&H, and presumably Arango would no longer be. See here. I hope this alternative stays open and extends to other manufacturers, like for the first example I can think of, Samuel Gawith, also a victim in the US of Kretek's (through their Phillips and King subsidiary) distribution.

Nope, Laudisi did not import it and is not the importer.
What you're seeing is the label we apply to bulk bags in shipping. The inclusion of the TP number and other details is a belt-and-suspenders exercise in regulatory compliance when it wasn't completely clear what constituted 'manufacturing' according to FDA. The rules were ambiguous, but we knew it would comply if we included our TP number and other details, and jumped through a few other FDA hoops.
Since printing that stuff on the label along with your order number, the product info and whatnot didn't cost us anything aside from some minor software changes, we just did it.
I'm guessing this was confusing because you bought a full bag of something from GH&Co. The label used to keep track of which order that is destined for is the same format as the label for when that bag is broken down into parts, so you saw the full regulatory gamut there when it likely wasn't strictly necessary because it duplicates some existing stuff on the original packaging.
But thank you for being excited by the prospect! I'm flattered. I just wanted to set the record straight before this became a pipe-world urban myth and Gawith folks and Kretek folks were calling us to ask why people thought we were the importer...

You might as well just buy G&H and be done with it. (Less hassle than having to explain this misunderstanding to everyone you meet for the next decade.)

Sykes, thanks. The label was, as you thought was the case, on a 500g Box, thus my confusion. Would never have batted an eye if it was on a smaller quantity.
But I am still disappointed that you aren't the ones importing it
