I am devoting 1 fresh pipe to Ennerdale I am wondering if there are any other blends similar enough to be smoked in the same pipe. I was thinking maybe St Bruno and Erinmore might be okay my in my Ennerdale pipe. Are they? Are there any others I could safely smoke (like Kendall? or 1792?)?

I LOVE St Bruno in an Ennerdale pipe. Bruno doesn’t have much sauce so the Ennerdale ghost is a nice addition.
I seem to recall Grasmere Flake being pretty damn similar.
Coniston cut Plug is the bomb in an Ennerdale pipe. And Ennerdale is the bomb in a Coniston pipe! 
I've found the different Gawith offerings have been losing 'the sauce' since the merger.
I have some 2014/15 Lakeland Dark and it's almost like a completely different blend now. Even some of my older Gawith bulks (re: Bob's Chocolate) had a strong lakeland topping to it all. Now, it's but a hint

I smoke Bob's CF and Ennerdale in the same dedicated pipe. Occasional straight VA in the same pipe is very good with only slight Lakeland hint. Enjoy
Stonehenge is nice in my few Lakeland pipes, and non Lakelands for that matter, since it's very mild on the sauce.
Erindale - seems to be the only way to solve the f*ck ups since the S&G merger. I think the tobacco Oompa Loompas who mixed up the Lakeland Sauce pissed off to work at Mr. Wonka's confectionary company and August Gloop got a job in the Lakeland department of S & G!
Not even close to its former iteration in my book. So sad... ?
No kidding, you taste more tobacco than topping now. I doubt even the current Ennerdale could ghost a pipe.
Interesting I am new to pipes so I never tried the older versions. I definitely smell and taste the topping on Ennerdale as it is now.
Prior to the changes, you could still smell it in your mailbox for a few days after it was delivered. It's a shame what has become of it.
That is absolutely true. I recently bought some Ennerdale, Broken Flake no. 7. and Kendal Flake and they are a totally different beast now. It's very disappointing. I also bought some Balkan Mixture but can't tell if it's changed as it was the first time I tried it.
I don't know if they're rushing the process to keep up with the demand but I won't buy again.
Not sure then the changes took place but I have some broken flake #7 and Kendall flake that's probably 6 months old that I really enjoy.
It happened sometime in the middle of 2021. First quarter drops were fine but from there on, things changed for some reason.
I smoke Gawith Mahogany Flake in my Ennerdale pipe as they have a similar profile.
I've been reading this here and there. It's a shame the merger lead to a change in blending & saucing. And those confounded breakaway tins they shipped last time!
I really like Gawith products, and hope this represents growing pains, and not a new way of doing business.
Has anyone contacted them about this. If they know that many customers feel that way maybe they will course correct?
A GH rep is on another forum and recently stated that they have not changed any of their blends, sauces, etc. I don't smoke any of their mid to heavy Lakeland blends so personally I can't voice an opinion.
