Hello folks. I bought a 1950’s Kaywoodie Standard apple a while back. It had been polished up and looked good and smokes well. However, apparently the stem was polished so thoroughly that it was wafer thin and has subsequently been bitten through. There is not enough vulcanite remaining to super glue.
Is there a repair shop that will replace the vulcanite portion with the original stinger? I prefer to keep the stinger and not eliminate it. Any suggestions?

It shouldn’t be a problem for a qualified restoration pro to reuse the stinger in a new stem. I’m sure there will be some current recommendations from the folks here.
