Gents, I am restoring this Kaywoodie for my brother who found it in antique store in OH. I am trying to date it just for fun. I do not have a lot of experience with Kaywoodies. I have included photos below.

Stamping: "KAYWOODIE" (all caps) over "Standard" over "IMPORTED BRIAR" (all caps). Right side of shank "08". Bottom of stem, near shank "F - 8". The clover on the stem is imbedded pretty deeply. I was able to put the stem on the buffing wheel without any worries I would harm the clover-branding. Thanks in advance for any info...

I did find a "Standard" model on Pipedia attributed to the 1968-69 KAYWOODIE LINE OF PIPES. I am thrown by the stem. Am I wrong to assume a stinger and the deeply imbedded branding are from an earlier era?

Some additional info HERE. You can also contact Nathan (the owner of that site); he is extremely knowledgeable about Kaywoodie pipes.
