On Feebay some pipes and paraphernalia from "The John Goldberg Estate " emerge.
Was any of you appreciated brothers and sisters familiair with the deceased gentleman ?

I think Pipestud may have sold off some of his tobacco collection although I could be wrong and confusing him with another dead chap. Other than that I have never heard of the gentleman.

and the gentleman sure knew how to smoke his pipes properly.

My dad had an unpaid (hence considered newsworthy) obit in the Chicago Tribune. He had worked in the Chicago financial district for decades and filled the church for his memorial service.

Mr. Goldberg sounds like a real pipe man.

My family did that, threw out my grandfather's pipes. At least they gave his remaining tobacco to one of his coworkers.
