My next project will be this little Jobey. I’m not sure the model, just what it says on the stem. Anyone know much about Jobey pipes?1ABC36FC-8E9F-48C0-84A6-6F8845F95F1F.jpegC0C69162-0657-4258-86D3-2DFFF240CB23.jpegF172B554-B7F8-48A1-85D2-83DAD83646DC.jpegBC638854-79C8-4DDF-B9F3-1F04DE398C61.jpeg
The stem is loose from the stummel. B2101B38-F205-4567-90C2-58E0676EF5C3.jpeg

I’m getting a little routine going.

1. Ream
2. Clean with bristle cleaners, quips, paper towels,
3. Salt bath.

It’s a vulcanite stem. I cleaned the inside with bristle and fluffy cleaners. It came clean surprisingly quick I didn’t want to Oxy clean again. That was messy. I just went to wet sanding with micro mesh 3200-3600-4000-6000-8000. Then some time on the buffing wheel.

I bought mine new about six or eight years ago, a little straight billiard with smooth and spot carving (drilled) rustication, but well done, so people were admiring the pipe as I bought it, and not staff. It has a screw-in stem but no stinger. Nice balance, light weight. Interesting about Jobey; it started in France, relocated to U.K., then to the U.S., and some years ago went back to France. My pipe stem says France, but the shop owner thought maybe the briar was done in the U.S. No telling. It's a smooth smoker and has held up well, still looks newish.
