This flake has a pinch of nutty sweet burley and woody, floral Oriental. I don’t know how much a “pinch” is, but I get minor amounts of both in most every puff, which is likely caused by how the flakes are processed. The cavendish offers a honey note. The Virginia reminds me of a sweeter Medium Virginia Flake: a little grassy and earthy with citrus and minor spice notes. The hot pressing of the tobacco adds a little brown sugary sweetness, too. Medium in strength, this is a little richer than Best Brown Flake, and is sort of like a sweeter, smoother, creamier, slightly less earthier Full Virginia Flake with the same level of nicotine and tanginess, plus more nuance of flavor. Needs some dry time, but will burn slow with a consistent taste and a very pleasing after taste.

Crusader: a friend gave me a generous sample. I don't know where he got it from.
Harris: The Oriental is very light. They it's a "pinch". It's likely no more than 5%, maybe less. That's hard to say for sure and I am guessing on the amount, but it can't be much at all. The floral note is more like a whisper. I think you would like this flake because the other flavors reduce the small amount of Oriental to being an "accent."
Using Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend as an analogy: it has one percent latakia. I know that because Sutliff told me the amount. I really don't notice it in the flavor. It's there just to add a very mild smokiness, and that is all I get from it. In the case of BSF, you will notice the Oriental just slightly more than I notice the latakia in EGR. You might not even notice it if you're not looking for it, which I was, because I knew it was there.

How have people fared with ordering baccy from Danishpipeshop to the U.S.? This definitely sounds very tasty.

Sounds tempting, very tempting but I've got zero experience ordering tobacco overseas and seeing that this is a proprietary blending for the Danish Pipe shop I'm afraid I'll love it and want pounds more, lol. For now I'll stick with what I can get easily, FVF being a favorite. Thanks for another mouth watering review Jim!

Settersbrace: We think alike, re: getting tobacco from overseas. I was lucky to have a friend gift me my stash, though I sent him some stuff back. I got the best of the deal, so I still owe him! I'm hoping some time in the future, it'll have a more general release, and I will stock a few pounds if that happens.

It has been selling out very quickly when it has become available so far, reminds me of Bothy Flake in this regard. Hopefully, as with Bothy Flake, there will be a more steady supply going forward.

Most likely the case. Everyone jumping on the new tobacco. I got four tins and it is very good. Going to put three in the closet with the rest of my stash and see if it does become more readily available.

 Demerara Flake's description sounds a lot like Brown Sugar Flake. Methinks another tobacco purchase is at hand!

Or it might only be available until August, at which time they may decide exporting to the U.S. isn't worth the investment. Because it's a new blend, it'll have to go through a long expensive process to stay on the market here. So expect it to either not last (in the U.S.) or cost a lot.
I may or may not have procured a number of tins myself just yesterday. ;)
