Right it's gonna age in the tin beautifully but I don't expect the Syrian like latakia will be any more pronounced in the future.
That is correct. As of now, the wine and smoke is mostly what you get from the Latakia, and they are pronounced enough that I considered it as a supporting player even though its other aspects fall below that mark.

So I pulled the trigger and got some, which arrived today.

In my first bowl I get the lat throughout the bowl, but I can also pick out DFK spiciness, or maybe that is the mixture of orientals.

This is a Balkan from which I myself can get a nice room note even while smoking it, reminding me of the 1960s-1970s original Balkan Sobranie. For me, the virginias seem to stay in the background, but the sweetness is there. I have to say I love this smoke!
