jiminks is one of those lucky people who has managed to make a profession out of visual art. He's a master of the comic book mythos which has developed from reading for kids into the source of a huge genre of film and a gallery level culture of visual art. I used to ride with a neighborhood mom and her sons, downtown to a woman who gave us bargain haircuts and had a vast selection of comic books which overwhelmed my little stash of comics and my sister's Little Lulu comics. To me, it was like the Library of Congress comic book collection. jiminks creates that for today's audience, and now the audience is probably majority adults.

Fibber McGee and Molly and Great Gildersleeve.As a disc jockey on the local radio station in the early 70s, I would play these on Sunday evening on the FM side of the station, using albums on the turn table. That's when TOP 40 radio was king on the AM and FM was "Good Listening" music...

We'll be talking more OTR and some comics October 18. The fabled Gassman brothers will host the show. They have done a great amount of work over the decades to preserve old radio shows. I'm very excited to finally have the chance to chat with them.
