I'm a late getting this party started but better late than never.

I'm having some 10 year old Penzance for the first smoke in a bearded pirate skull meer by Yanik with a glass of A. de Fussigny Borderies cognac for tonight's stories:

Tradition dictates we start with Poe's classic "The Raven" so here are 2 of my favorite narrations followed by a very enjoyable version I also really enjoy:

Christopher Lee:

James Earl Jones:

The Simpsons:

Upper 40s-mid 50s during the day around here lately, so the "shiver" isn't an issue.
It's getting close to the time of the year when I do not smoke a pipe for several months. From November-March I'm on the piping wagon. :(

This one sets the mood very well and I really like the narrator's monolog afterwards. He sometimes rambles a bit but in a good way. It makes you feel like you're getting to know him a bit.

Here's one by another of my favorite authors (I seem to have a lot of them, don't I?) and I'll probably get some more of her work posted. It's narrated by Jasper L'Strange of Encrypted Horror. He has such a great voice for such things.

Dang, I take a couple nights off and I've got some catching up to do. Thanks for the recommendations...
