I just got the Kaywoodie Chinrester I ordered from GFO this last Wednesday. Very fast, free shipping. I'm most certainly going back!

On to the briar, it's...I'll just photograph it.

I've just gotten finished with cleaning it out. Unfortunately, I am out of bleach for the stem, so it's kind of ugly right now. But it has that great, freshly Jack Daniels'd smell to it! I'm probably going to break down and smoke it before the hour is up, even though I know I should let it wait until morning because of the whiskey.

I doubt id be able to wait till morning myself. The call of a brand new pipe to smoke would be waaaay to much for me to resist.

Both sets very interesting, and would be a welcome addition to any collection I would think. However, I wonder, how does one clean the stem of the first one? I don't think a pipe cleaner would fit such a curve?

Yeah, kammi, that's a problem I've been having. It seems that one just has to run a cleaner from one end, and down, and then run it the other way round. Kind of time consuming, but since we're talking about a pipe and not a cigarette that isn't necessarily a negative.

I haven't smoked it yet, but it rests on the chin beautifully. Definitely going to have a tobacco breakfast tomorrow!

I love the chinrester! Maybe we can get some pictures of you using the pipe?
Unclearthur, that is quite the set you get there! I also got your package today, and wow! Those are some great goodies!

You're right, cleaning the chinrester initially is a complete nightmare. But, once it is done it's not too difficult to keep on top of it.
The finish and colour of the pipe is very nice indeed.

Nice additions guys!
Collin, I was wondering if the chinrester was really as comfertable as it looked or was more of a gimmick. But I guess you cleared that up.
Uncle, I like the second pipe in the photo. I guess it is the Killdare shape.

That one is a Killarney 608p anyway as near as I can tell from the worn stamping that is the number. All are excellent smokers. The bottom one is my favorite it was thrown in as a bonus and is BEAUTIFUL!

Sounds like you might just have/have had one of these, excav8tor.

You asked for a picture with me, well, here it is.

It is so very, very comfy. And smokes quite well...though I got a bit of a gurgle (too impatient to let the baccy dry enough) and that was rather difficult to clear up, ha ha.

That's a great foto of you....

But, who's that guy with the pipe?
I have been racking my brain ever since you posted that pic of the chin rester.

Just where-the-hell have I seen that pipe before?

I finally found it here.

Ha ha. Pipepages is where I initially learned of the chinrester. And thus started a chain of even that I am eminently pleased with.
